In every walk with nature, one receives far more than he seeks.
Less stress, improved energy levels, a big dose of happiness, and of course, a calm and healthy mind. These are only some of the benefits you get by going and staying outdoors.
We are, more often than not, subject to constant tension and stress – the Manila traffic jams (which, we all know, are so bad), complicated family issues, relationship, and friendship problems, workplace drama, yada yada yada. Okay, I’m not going to attract all things negative, but admit it, even if there are no issues are all, there’s a part of you that just wants to get away and live (temporarily) in a beautiful and safe place – preferably one that lets you commune with nature.
I found out about NoLimits KFB Farm through a fellow traveler (thanks Ms. Ly Ann!) and after researching about it, I thought it was a good place to spend the night… and so the adventure began.
Trip to the Farm
1. Ride the MRT-3 Train and alight at Kamuning Station. From there, head over to JAM Liner, which is about 500m away, and only walking distance. Make sure you’re on the side of GMA Building. (Alternative bus to ride: DLTB)
2. Once you’re there in the terminal, proceed to the area where the buses are parked and look for one carrying the sign, “LEMERY, BATANGAS.” That’s your ride. Ask the driver to drop you off at Alitagtag Market/Alitagtag Town Plaza.
3. Once you reach Alitagtag Market, look a little to your right and find the “NoLimits KFB Sari Sari Store.” You’ll need to pre-register and sign a waiver form before you can head over to the farm. NOTE: Ate will ask you to buy food since there are no stores near the farm. Add these items to your list: veggies, meat, fish, cooking oil, salt, canned goods, snacks, rice, and softdrinks/alcoholic drinks. Don’t worry about the rice, cooking equipment, utensils, serving plates or glasses, and drinking water, because the owner will provide those. Head back to the sari sari store after your little grocery shopping, so she can ask the designated tricycle driver to take you to the farm.
4. The tricycle driver will stop in front of a small, red (I think??) gate, and there you’ll be welcomed by Kuya Allen, Kuya Richie, or Kuya Ryan who will help you with your things and lead the way to the farm. (They’re super nice!)
What to Expect?
A trip to the farm is different from simply going to the beach. But that doesn’t mean you can’t enjoy an activity or two. Get busy in the farm doing these:
- Movie night under the stars (might only be applicable for groups)
- Bonfire night (prep the mallows!)
- Amazing Race and Obstacle Course (done by companies who conduct their team building activities there, but, hey, there’s no rule stopping you from giving it a go)
- Trek to Taal Lake (there’s a tour guide)
- Bamboo Rafting (two at a time)
- Swimming (they have big Intex pools for those staying in the Nipa Hut and Treehouse)
- Biking (they have beginner and expert trails)
- Slacklining (the first step to reaching your dream of walking a tightrope high above the circus floor, lol)
- Videoke (you don’t need to worry about neighbor complaints)
- Wild Pig Chase (the smallest pig is the easiest to catch)
- Collecting Chicken Eggs (these are free! Yay for breakfast!)
- Nature Tripping (take a walk around the luyahan, and pick some fresh fruits in the Nature Trail)
- Yoga (just bring a mat because there a lot of good spots for you to do your yoga)
- Meditation (again, the mat…)
- Chilling in the tent/hut/treehouse/hammock (perfect with a beer in hand, perhaps?)
The NoLimits KFB Farm puts you in such a comfortable realm of eustress. I promise. As for the accommodation, you can always bring a tent and just pay the camping fee (it’s cheaper!), or if you don’t want to be inconvenienced carrying the tent in your commute, they have a tent for two (P900 or P450/2 pax), and Tipi Hut (P1,200), which already comes with beddings, towel, and a soap; and a Nipa Hut or Treehouse (P1,800), with a designated bathroom, outdoor shower area, big Intex pool, kitchen, dining area, balcony, and bedroom.
*No worries for those staying in the tent or tipi hut! They have common areas for the kitchen, dining, and bathroom, which are all clean and well-maintained. You don’t even have to worry about limited light source (which a lot of us experience when we’re at a remote beach somewhere).

REMINDERS
- Buy all the things you need in the market so you can prepare and cook your food as you please. If you missed something, the owner will allow “pabili,” granted the kuya/s are available.
- Bonfires are allowed (even if you’re a solo traveler) so prepare your mallows in advance 😛
- Never litter. The last thing this place needs (or any other place, for that matter) is trash.
- Check the weather forecast in advance. Before you book your accommodation, make sure the forecast gives you a sunny feedback. Those in the nipa hut or tree house need not worry even if it rains, but if you’re planning to stay in the tent or tipi hut, it’d be nice to wake up not drenched in rain, right?
- There’s no corkage fee. So bring whatever it is you need to bring (food and drinks)
- They have a parking slot for those who opt to bring their cars
- It’s super cold there. Bring socks and jacket!

There’s nothing quite like unplugging in nature!
