We were just driving around the area when we saw the brightly-lit signage of a seemingly chill place.
My sister and I decided to take our cousin, Enzo, for a day out, and we ended up discovering the gem that is Hisbeans! (This was before areas were placed under Alert Level 3). We needed a drink after our hearty lunch, but the line for Tablo was unsurprisingly long, so we decided to go to another place instead.
No one was around the cafe at the time, so we thought, “Might as well try this!” If you come here, please remember to observe the proper health protocols!
Here’s what it looks like from the outside

It’s easy to spot because it’s just across GMA!
About Hisbeans
Hisbeans originated from and opened their first branch in South Korea (2009). They expanded their chain and eventually made their way to the Philippines. Their branch in Timog Ave, Quezon City which held its soft opening on July 30, 2021, is in fact, the first store outside of Korea!

The thing about this cafe is that it’s not only aesthetically pleasing. You can expect specially graded and roasted specialty beans, and be delighted by their mission of nurturing PWD coffee specialists. Yep, they’re PWD-friendly!

To be honest, I’m not much of a coffee drinker, and I’m probably not the best person to ask about this. Haha. Here’s what I read about their coffee thus far. You can either take their word for it or check the place to see if it matches your expectations.
- They use 100% Arabica Beans, so their sweet coffee is made with beans that received a Speciality Coffee Association-based cupping score of 80 or higher. This basically means that their coffee is “very good” and “specialty.”
- Hisbeans Coffee Factory roasts beans daily using the semi-hot roasting method.

What It Looks Like Inside | Hisbeans Ambiance

Clean, spacious, and inviting!

They have a picture-worthy spot near the cashier.

It’s perfect for mirror selfies!

Regular photos will do, too!

Done taking photos for the gram? Head inside while waiting for your order!

I spy with my little eye – coffee beans!

They have a VR Experience Zone, but we weren’t able to try this.
You won’t be disappointed with the cafe because it has a tropical vibe, and has such an inviting atmosphere for all its guests. It’s what you would expect from a Korean cafe, no? Everything was super clean too!

If you plan to make this your next Work-From-Anywhere spot, make sure to charge your device/s beforehand. When we went here (December 2021), all outlets were covered.

What to Order?
They have a fairly small menu, so you won’t have a hard time choosing. The cheapest coffee you could buy is worth P140 (an Americano). Hisbeans only serves one size regardless of whether you order a hot or cold drink. My sister ordered the Vanilla Latte, while my cousin opted for the Americano.

If you want to cut down on caffeine, you can always choose from the alternatives. I tried the Dark Chocochip Hibeanccino. There are also pastries available if you want to snack on something. Our orders were delish!!

Basque Burnt Cheesecake
Lastly, they have a loyalty card to keep customers coming back for more. Collect 9 stamps (1 drink = 1 stamp) because the 10th one means entitlement to one coffee or drink! It’s just not applicable to RTD drinks and set menus.

With our pleasant experience in Hisbeans, I could see myself coming back to chill or work! Safe to say that their staff values customers’ satisfaction, and wants everyone who comes here to have a delightful time.
