Cafe B.O.M.’s inviting atmosphere, chic and modern decor, and creative menu items are impressive enough as it is. Combine this with Filipinos’ love for anything coffee and Korean, and you got yourself a place that’s adored by many.

Korean-Inspired Cafe + Studio
My friends and I first visited the Korean-Inspired Cafe + Studio during a weekend drive last 2021, and it proved to be a space where people can relax, socialize, or even work while indulging in drinks or other baked goods. That’s why whenever I’m in Pampanga, I make it a point to spend a few hours here – well, mostly for socializing and only a bit of work because how can you focus when you have such crazy friends with you? Jk.

They also have a friendly team that will make you feel at home, so that’s a plus point! It’s no surprise why a lot of people are adding Cafe B.O.M. as the next stop in their cafe hop adventures!
Cafe Tour
The first few times I visited the cafe, it was really packed. Good thing we went here on a Tuesday morning because that gave us more time and freedom to take photos without being too much of a bother to other patrons.

Step inside and a most charming art deco-inspired interior awaits you – complete with gold accents that speak of glamour and luxury, huge arched windows, and warm and stylish pendant lights for that cozy ambiance.

Natural and dark-wood tones are also prominent, blending in nicely with the exposed brick walls that lend a rustic charm to the cafe.

There are various seating options available and there is honestly no bad seat. You can take your sweet time choosing (I know we did) from the plush sofas and armchairs, to bar stools. Whatever it is you find, I’m sure it will be an aesthetic spot. It’s perfect for enjoying your cup of joe, or if you’re a bibliophile, you may also think it a good idea to finish a book or two here.

Walk a bit further, and you’ll see a cute area to pose for photos!

At the time, we wanted to be seated close to the in-house photo studio that offered free service, so we went upstairs almost immediately after ordering. I just noticed the fairy lights in the ceiling, and it was a nice touch!
The black walls were adorned with framed art. I just can’t remember if these are paintings, historical photos, or something else entirely, but I chanced upon a website mentioning that the eclectic mix of artworks featured in Cafe B.O.M. was purchased from local artists as a sign of support.

The second level of the cafe still had a charming ambiance.

Lastly, they have a bar area that is perfect for large groups. It’s pretty easy to miss because the black door (entrance) is always closed... but I might be wrong if we’re talking about a busy day.
Coffee and Food
As soon as you enter the place, the aroma of freshly brewed coffee will fill the air, pulling in any person in need of an energizing fix.

You can head straight to the counter area – the table lined with a sleek espresso machine and a display case showcasing delicious desserts.

You can also choose from various pastries in the mini self-service area just opposite the cashier.
They have espresso (starts at P115), cold brew (starts at P170), frappe (starts at P185), smoothie (starts at P165), fresh ade (starts at P175), and tea (starts at P125). Cafe B.O.M. uses signature #LUSSOcoffee beans from Korea to create their coffee.

My sister opted for a Cafe Mocha, and I remember her saying it had a good balance of bitterness and sweetness. As for me, I preferred something that had more milk and caramel flavor in it. I was happy about my order because it was the indulgent coffee beverage that I needed.
Let’s talk about the food. Honestly, I’d give it about 3.5/5. They will serve you something fresh and delicious, and you’d get your money’s worth should you decide to come hungry and be adventurous with the dishes. I appreciate the large portions of their savory lunch sandwiches, and hopefully, I get to try out their cakes next time! It’s just that my drinks are already too sweet so I always find myself skipping desserts.
Free Photoshoot!

I wasn’t kidding about the in-house photo studio either. Cafe B.O.M. lets you enjoy a free photoshoot from 12:30 pm to 9:00 pm, and all you need to do is show your receipt. It’s up to you whether you want a group shot, or a solo one. There’s a complete set-up, and a photographer will be there to guide you with your poses. I just love how this cafe goes the extra mile to give you something memorable.

During my visit last December, we had a mocha-colored backdrop, but this time we got yellow! My fave. Haha. Just putting it out here (although I’m not so sure about the frequency) that they could be regularly changing their backdrops.

Are you done taking photos? You can buy a printout (starting at P50) or just wait for their team to upload all photos on Facebook!
