Always in awe of breath-taking aerial routines? Lucky for us regular peeps, we can spend a good hour or two trying to be a trapeze artist! Here’s how & where.
My sister recently had her 24th birthday, and as a gift, I decided to give her something intangible but still enjoyable. I remembered watching one of my high school friend’s vlog about Flying Trapeze (see it here), and because it looks super fun and crazy, I purchased a couple of passes right away!
The Flying Trapeze Philippines (FTP), is the FIRST and ONLY full size Flying Trapeze rig in the Philippines and one of only a few in all of Asia! It’s perfect for all the adrenaline and fitness junkies who are looking to try a different kind of exercise.
Normally, the price is P1,250 (WEEKEND & HOLIDAY PASS). But I got ours for half the price in Metrodeal! Yes! I recommend that you always check the site cos I think they keep the promo up for a long time or they keep renewing the great offer to attract more people.
But if you want to purchase directly from FTP, no prob! Reservations can be done either thru website or their official mobile number.
I was really excited about this Trapeze activity… maybe even more than my ate. (She even joked that this was my birthday treat to myself, not for her lol). And when the day has finally arrived, I just can’t keep calm. We were the only ones in that particular time slot, which meant more turns for each of us. SUPER YAY!

Surprisingly, the coaches were all straight to the action, giving only brief instructions to us. Of course, I wasn’t complaining. The pointers are pretty much needed when you’re up in the air, not when you’re on the ground.

OKAY, LET’S GET DOWN TO BUSINESS!

They first asked us to have the feel of the swing before moving on to other stunts. It grows on you, actually.

The proper landing is on your back, so don’t try and get all Jackie Chan by disobeying the coaches.

After the knee hang, our next stunt is the backflip!! No photos for that, but here’s a raw video.

Final stunt: with a catcher! The trick here is to do a simple swing – legs up – knee hang – arms down & arch back – grab the catcher and swing away!

My ate looks graceful as the Coach caught her midway!

Good thing we completed all the tricks right before it rained! It was really fun and enjoyable and we’re thinking of joining the Frequent Flyer Club just because (Okay, we should probably save up for that). Haha. But hey, I mean it’s an alternative form of exercise – good for the upper body + the core muscles.
They’ll give you a pen so you can write your name on the Trapeze Map on their container office(?)

Before we left, they gave us this certificate congratulating us for the trick we successfully pulled off! We had a little awarding sesh but I’ll just show our group pic!

Such an exciting experience! It makes you want to do it over and over again. I’d love to try the Unlimited Flying (4:30 to 8:30 p.m.), but I really hope they have that promo during other months cause it’s originally for the month of December alone. They have different schedules posted on their website so it’s convenient to check naman.
